The marketplace guard is an impressive specimen of manhood, standing over six feet tall with dark hair, a neatly trimmed moustache, and piercing blue eyes. What impressed you more was his light bronze armour, the dagger and short sword at his side, and the staff in his hand.

You hand him the five terces.

"Welcome to the Emporium!" he says, a broad, friendly smile appearing on his face. "We're pleased to welcome you to this place of wonders and sights of all ages." He gestures around at the open air stalls. "We don't take kindly to folks with weapons of any kind here. This is a marketplace, not a duelling ground. Be friendly, and enjoy yourself."

You walk past him into the market proper.

John Kahane's Emporium

Hi, there! Welcome to my web site.

This particular part of the World Wide Web is the small section of space here that I call home. It's the place where I get to rant, to rave, to discuss subjects that I'm rather fond of, and all that sort of thing. You'll find all sorts of stuff on this website that is highly subjective, some of it even being interesting to you, and some of it might even be considered neat by someone's standards. The first place you might want to go is the Introduction to the Web Site. I hope that most folks will read the Introduction page when they come to the site for the first time, since it has some information that might be of interest to folks.

Enjoy my web pages.
